Pitch to Afro Fashion Magazine

We welcome pitches from writers, photographers, stylists, and designers who share our passion for African fashion and culture.

What We're Looking For

Afro Fashion Magazine publishes 12 issues per year across digital and print formats. We wellcome original features, profiles, essays, photo essays, and trend reports from contributors worldwide.

We are particularly interested in stories that centre African designers, models, and creatives — stories that have not been told, perspectives that are underrepresented, and work that challenges the mainstream fashion narrative.

Fashion Features

In-depth profiles of designers, trend analysis, runway reviews, and style essays. Typically 800–2,000 words.

Photo Essays

Original photography projects exploring African fashion, identity, and culture. We accept both editorial and documentary approaches.

Culture & Opinion

Essays and opinion pieces on the intersection of fashion with politics, identity, history, and society. 600–1,500 words.

Designer Profiles

Intimate portraits of emerging and established African designers. We prioritise voices not yet covered by mainstream fashion media.

Beauty & Lifestyle

Beauty features, wellness stories, and lifestyle content rooted in African culture and tradition.

Street Style

Street photography and style documentation from cities across Africa and the diaspora.
